Pierre Salvator, leader of an ecologist NGO and a charismatic idealist, finds himself propelled into the upper echelons of power, somewhat against his will, by a calculation on the part of the President of the Republic, while an ecologist organization called Gaïa decides to destabilize the country with a series of attacks. 
Icaria highlights the confrontation between two ecologies: a compromise ecology that gains power, and a radical ecology that believes it can change humanity's destiny through violence. A dystopia not so far removed from reality...
